I may have to change this column to the bi-weekly since I’ve already missed one (oops!), but the last couple of weeks have been busy but so fun and very focused on family time.

Nothing! But I want to start a good book. I need something that grabs your attention from the start- any recommendations?
I claimed our guest room as my office and am loving my new setup! I have been taking more zoom calls lately and I wanted to have more of a professional feeling background than our kitchen cabinets so I was very intentional about my desk placement and am thrilled with the result. It’s also right next to our bedroom so I’ve found myself wandering in here after putting Kelly down or early in the morning and I love the calm, quiet time at my computer while it feels like the rest of the world is asleep.

I have been thinking so much about how I want to show up on social. The creative in me loves to style and curate an edited photo. In contrast, I am finding myself more interested in the faster, quick-selfie-as-I-head-out-the-door type of content. It feels more real, ya know? Like this person isn’t sitting at home taking photos, they are out doing things! I’m curious how you’re feeling- what kind of photos do you prefer to see?

For Easter weekend we headed to Nemacolin in Pennsylvania with my parents and sister. It was beautiful! I didn’t expect to be swimming outdoors this time of year (it was in the 40s-50s), but their heated pool was open and it was. HUGE hit with Kelly. It was also one of the only complimentary activities for kids, so needless to say we spent most of our time there. We also did some glow bowling and joined their STUNNING Easter brunch.
After a fun weekend away I was excited to get back into our routine and fill our fridge with healthy food! I’ve been making some recipes from
5 day reset including her green detox soup! I made a double batch and took some to one of my best friends in Ann Arbor who just had a baby (!!!), I can’t think of a more nourishing and comforting food and how perfect it is for postpartum. While I was in Ann Arbor and Alex was on Kelly pick-up duty I took advantage of some “me time” and treated myself to a pedi. It was lovely.
That’s all for now! I’m going to go pick up pizza for a Friday night at home with my boys! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Xx
Could not be more obsessed with that Becky Aubry ceramic lamp!
